Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Mandarin Ducks by Liu Bonong. The price achieved of HKD 46,000.00 (€ 4,735.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Bonong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Floral Blossoms in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 25,576.78).
