The work Summer Holidays by Lionel Townsend Crawshaw was sold in the Victorian, British and Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 12,250.00 (€ 14,297.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Summer Holidays is the most expensive artwork by Lionel Townsend Crawshaw that we have observed at auctions so far.
