Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Missing Dolly by Lin Yilin for USD 500.00 (€ 428.19). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Chinese Art Online | No Reserve at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Yilin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Missing Dolly in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 46,875.00 (€ 33,289.54).
