A top price for Lin Xueyan - as previously expected
The work Ladies by Lin Xueyan was sold in the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2001. The price achieved of HKD 23,500.00 (€ 3,350.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ladies is the most expensive artwork by Lin Xueyan that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Ladies von Lin Xueyan wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 23.500,00 (€ 3.350,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ladies das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lin Xueyan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
