Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lin Liang could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Comorants By A Stream changed hands for HKD 480,000.00 (€ 52,519.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lin Liang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Pheasants Under A Wintry Willow Tree in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 314,123.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lin Liang konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wechselte die Arbeit Comorants By A Stream für HKD 480.000,00 (€ 52.519,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lin Liang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Pheasants Under A Wintry Willow Tree im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 314.123,38).
