In May 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Bamboo And Birds by Lin Liang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 45,600.00 (€ 4,748.69), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Pheasants Under A Wintry Willow Tree in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 387,000.00 (€ 314,123.38).

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bamboo And Birds von Lin Liang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 45.600,00 (€ 4.748,69) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Pheasants Under A Wintry Willow Tree im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 387.000,00 (€ 314.123,38).
