It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,034.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lin Changmin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Regular Script, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 218,500.00 (€ 25,252.19).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Standard Script - Awakening of Faith in the Mahayana von Lin Changmin wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.034,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von Lin Changmin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 218.500,00 (€ 25.252,19) versteigert wurde.
