Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Sale, which included the work A View Of The Grand Canal And The Rialto Bridge, Venice, With Many Small Boats In The Foreground by Lieven Cruyl. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,921.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lieven Cruyl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of The Construction Of The Pont Neuf Du Louvre, Paris, In June 1686 in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 85,658.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View Of The Grand Canal And The Rialto Bridge, Venice, With Many Small Boats In The Foreground von Lieven Cruyl zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.921,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lieven Cruyl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View Of The Construction Of The Pont Neuf Du Louvre, Paris, In June 1686 im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 85.658,42).
