Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maos by Li Shan was sold in the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,207.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Shan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rouge in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 11,210,000.00 (€ 1,154,102.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maos von Li Shan wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.207,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Shan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rouge im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.210.000,00 (€ 1.154.102,15).
