Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Bird and Flowers by Li Shan for HKD 48,000.00 (€ 5,752.10). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Shan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rouge in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 11,210,000.00 (€ 1,154,102.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bird and Flowers von Li Shan für HKD 48.000,00 (€ 5.752,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Shan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rouge im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.210.000,00 (€ 1.154.102,15).
