A top price for Li Kui
In December 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Living beside the Stream by Li Kui. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,537.61). With this result, Living beside the Stream is even the most expensive work of art by Li Kui that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Li Kui
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Living beside the Stream von Li Kui zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.537,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Living beside the Stream sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Li Kui, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
