Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Autumn Landscape by Li Kui. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,422.50 (€ 269.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Kui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living beside the Stream in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,537.61).
