Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Jiangnan village in the style of Li Keran by Li Geng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 22,500.00 (€ 2,127.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Geng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring In Jiangnan in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 247,800.00 (€ 27,273.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jiangnan village in the style of Li Keran von Li Geng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 22.500,00 (€ 2.127,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Geng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring In Jiangnan im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 247.800,00 (€ 27.273,32).
