Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Beloved by Li Geng. It changed hands for a price of HKD 7,500.00 (€ 861.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Geng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring In Jiangnan in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 247,800.00 (€ 27,273.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beloved von Li Geng zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 7.500,00 (€ 861,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Geng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring In Jiangnan im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 247.800,00 (€ 27.273,32).
