Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pond Lily Cactus by Li Chaoshi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The price achieved of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 19,763.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Chaoshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stapelia Pulchella, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 613,600.00 (€ 67,533.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pond Lily Cactus von Li Chaoshi kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 19.763,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Chaoshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stapelia Pulchella beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 613.600,00 (€ 67.533,93) versteigert wurde.
