Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Lady Reading by Leyly Matine-Daftary was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,000.00 (€ 21,210.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leyly Matine-Daftary have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 119,420.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Lady Reading von Leyly Matine-Daftary wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.000,00 (€ 21.210,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leyly Matine-Daftary auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 119.420,78).
