In January 2018 VAN HAM held the auction Dekorative Kunst, which included the work Die Kathedrale in Abbeville. by Lewis John Wood. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 903.00 51% above the estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lewis John Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boppard on the Rhine, which sold at auction in August 2002 for GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,523.37).

Im Januar 2018 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Dekorative Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Die Kathedrale in Abbeville. von Lewis John Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 903,00 und damit 51% über dem Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lewis John Wood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boppard on the Rhine beobachtet, die im August 2002 für GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.523,37) versteigert wurde.
