This price was achieved in the auction Property From Encombe, Dorset & La Chasse, Jersey at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Lewis John Wood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boppard on the Rhine in August 2002 with an auction result of GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,523.37).
