Despite a disappointment, a good price for Leopoldo Richter
When the work Bañistas by Leopoldo Richter was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,113.76). Despite this disappointing result, Bañistas is the most expensive artwork by Leopoldo Richter that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Bañistas von Leopoldo Richter im Juni 2013 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.113,76) den Besitzer.
