Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Holiday In The North by Leonid Viktorovich Turzhansky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 50,752.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Leonid Viktorovich Turzhansky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Wedding in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 219,144.87).
