Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St Basil'S Cathedral by Leonid Mikhailovich Brailovsky was sold in the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2009. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Mikhailovich Brailovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Easter Night, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,097.43).

Die Arbeit St Basil'S Cathedral von Leonid Mikhailovich Brailovsky wurde im Juni 2009 in der Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.734,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonid Mikhailovich Brailovsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Easter Night beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.097,43) versteigert wurde.
