Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Hunting Scene by Leonid Mikhailovich Brailovsky. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,456.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Mikhailovich Brailovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Easter Night, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,097.43).
