Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Classical ruins with banditti by Leonardo Coccorante for GBP 29,375.00 (€ 47,498.99). This price was achieved in the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Leonardo Coccorante have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2014 by the work Architectural Capriccios: A Pair at USD 125,000.00 (€ 91,307.52).
