This artwork by Leonard Hugh Long achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in November 2004. In the COLES MYER COLLECTION auction, the work Wollondilly River, Cassons Flats, New South Wales sold for AUD 7,767.50 (€ 4,524.35) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Hugh Long - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lifting Fog, Belmore Gorge, New South Wales, which sold at auction in November 2004 for AUD 16,730.00 (€ 9,744.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Hugh Long erzielte im November 2004 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion COLES MYER COLLECTION wurde die Arbeit Wollondilly River, Cassons Flats, New South Wales für AUD 7.767,50 (€ 4.524,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Hugh Long mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lifting Fog, Belmore Gorge, New South Wales beobachtet, die im November 2004 für AUD 16.730,00 (€ 9.744,76) versteigert wurde.
