In the COLES MYER COLLECTION auction, the work Wollondilly River, Cassons Flats, New South Wales sold for AUD 7,767.50 (€ 4,524.35) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Hugh Long - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lifting Fog, Belmore Gorge, New South Wales, which sold at auction in November 2004 for AUD 16,730.00 (€ 9,744.76).
