Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Myself, The River And The Story Bridge by Leonard Brown was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Melbourne in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 2,585.00 (€ 1,476.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Leonard Brown have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2005 the work Fallen Monuments was auctioned for AUD 4,541.00 (€ 2,791.38).
