Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work The Hume river lookout, Australia by Leon William Hanson for GBP 250.00 (€ 310.01). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leon William Hanson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning near Hartley, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 1,880.00 (€ 1,110.61).
