Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Léon Richet could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art auction, the work Near Barbizon: by a farm changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,454.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Léon Richet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twilight, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 22,325.00 (€ 26,404.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Léon Richet konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and European Art wechselte die Arbeit Near Barbizon: by a farm für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.454,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Léon Richet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twilight beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 22.325,00 (€ 26.404,49) versteigert wurde.
