Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dalston Junction by Leon Kossoff was sold in the Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale auction at Christies in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,854.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Kossoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Willesden Junction - Autumn Afternoon in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,388,750.00 (€ 1,566,467.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dalston Junction von Leon Kossoff wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.854,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Kossoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Willesden Junction - Autumn Afternoon im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.388.750,00 (€ 1.566.467,81).
