Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Boats At Sunset by Leon Kalogeropoulos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,254.83), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Leon Kalogeropoulos have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 5,355.00 in May 2021 for the work La Bataille navale de Limnos le 5 Décembre 1912.

Im Mai 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats At Sunset von Leon Kalogeropoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.254,83) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Leon Kalogeropoulos haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.355,00 im Mai 2021 für die Arbeit La Bataille navale de Limnos le 5 Décembre 1912 beobachtet.
