Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A Sailing Vessel by Leon Haffner for USD 239.00 (€ 194.15). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Leon Haffner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trois Mâts en mer in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Sailing Vessel von Leon Haffner für USD 239,00 (€ 194,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leon Haffner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trois Mâts en mer im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.200,00.
