Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Léon Bellefleur could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Petite Pastorale changed hands for CAD 6,000.00 (€ 4,308.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Léon Bellefleur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Regards Vers La Chine, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 20,400.00 (€ 15,788.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Léon Bellefleur konnte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Petite Pastorale für CAD 6.000,00 (€ 4.308,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Léon Bellefleur mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Regards Vers La Chine beobachtet, die im November 2012 für CAD 20.400,00 (€ 15.788,44) versteigert wurde.
