Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Meditation by Lebadang for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,616.12). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lebadang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage Rouge in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 189,000.00 (€ 21,408.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Meditation von Lebadang für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.616,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lebadang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage Rouge im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 189.000,00 (€ 21.408,20).
