Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sun over Landscape by Lawrence Daws was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in May 2003. The price achieved of AUD 3,525.00 (€ 1,951.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lawrence Daws have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lily Pool in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 28,200.00 (€ 17,011.69).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.525,00 (€ 1.951,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
