Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Mountain by Lawrence Daws was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The price achieved of AUD 646.25 (€ 375.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 500.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lawrence Daws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lily Pool in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 28,200.00 (€ 17,011.69).

Die Arbeit Red Mountain von Lawrence Daws kam im August 2001 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 646,25 (€ 375,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 500,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Daws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lily Pool im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 28.200,00 (€ 17.011,69).
