It achieved a price of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,922.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Laurent Pécheux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana And Endymion in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 174,490.70).

Die Arbeit The rape of the Sabines von Laurent Pécheux kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.922,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Laurent Pécheux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana And Endymion im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 174.490,70).
