Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape With Two Women At A Fountain, A Herd Of Cows At A Stream And Travellers On Horseback by Laurent de la Hyre was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 446,500.00 (€ 348,719.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurent de la Hyre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Narcisse, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 918,400.00.

Die Arbeit Landscape With Two Women At A Fountain, A Herd Of Cows At A Stream And Travellers On Horseback von Laurent de la Hyre kam im Januar 2009 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 446.500,00 (€ 348.719,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Laurent de la Hyre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Narcisse beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 918.400,00 versteigert wurde.
