Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Angelica And Medoro by Laurent de la Hyre for USD 399,000.00 (€ 326,754.57). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurent de la Hyre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Narcisse, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 918,400.00.
