In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art, which included the work Landscape With Two Women At A Fountain, A Herd Of Cows At A Stream And Travelers On Horseback by Laurent de la Hyre. The »bidding war« ended at USD 529,000.00 (€ 356,444.98), 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurent de la Hyre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Narcisse, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 918,400.00.

Im Januar 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With Two Women At A Fountain, A Herd Of Cows At A Stream And Travelers On Horseback von Laurent de la Hyre zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 529.000,00 (€ 356.444,98) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Laurent de la Hyre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Narcisse beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 918.400,00 versteigert wurde.
