This artwork by Laurent de la Hyre achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2000. In the OLD MASTER DRAWINGS - CSK auction, the work God the Father and Christ handing down a crown of martyrdom sold for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 2,994.82) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Laurent de la Hyre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Narcisse in November last year with an auction result of EUR 918,400.00.

In der Auktion OLD MASTER DRAWINGS - CSK wurde die Arbeit God the Father and Christ handing down a crown of martyrdom für GBP 1.880,00 (€ 2.994,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Laurent de la Hyre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Narcisse im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 918.400,00.
