Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self Portrait II by Laurence Stephen Lowry was auctioned at Christies in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 205,504.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Laurence Stephen Lowry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Going to the Match in October last year with an auction result of GBP 7,846,500.00 (€ 9,141,085.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self Portrait II von Laurence Stephen Lowry kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 205.504,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Laurence Stephen Lowry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Going to the Match im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.846.500,00 (€ 9.141.085,62).
