It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,846,500.00 (€ 9,141,085.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000,000.00 – 8,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Going to the Match is the most expensive artwork by Laurence Stephen Lowry that we have observed at auctions so far.
