Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Look Behind The Curtain by Laure Prouvost was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,719.01). Other works by Laure Prouvost have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2020 by the work Bum Painting (1) at EUR 16,380.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Look Behind The Curtain von Laure Prouvost im März 2017 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.719,01) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Laure Prouvost wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2020 die Arbeit Bum Painting (1) mit EUR 16.380,00.
