In the Outsider Art auction, the work Black Birthday Cake, circa 1982 sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,605.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Laura Craig McNellis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Steak Dinner), 2000 sold at auction in January 2021 with the realized price of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,326.33).
