Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Larry Otoo could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online auction, the work Nite Life changed hands for GBP 612.00 (€ 729.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Larry Otoo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ace Gang in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,510.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Larry Otoo konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Nite Life für GBP 612,00 (€ 729,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Larry Otoo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ace Gang im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.510,77).
