Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Monkey In Cage by Lam Tung Pang. The price achieved of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 3,907.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lam Tung Pang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Potted Landscape No.5, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,975.34).
