Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection, which included the work Yeomanry Scouts On The Veldt by Elizabeth Butler. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,876.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Butler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dawn Of Waterloo in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 385,333.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yeomanry Scouts On The Veldt von Elizabeth Butler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.876,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Butler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dawn Of Waterloo im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.250,00 (€ 385.333,41).
