In May 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Greek Art, which included the work Leaving For The Ball; The Feathered Fan by Ladislaus Bakalowicz. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,244.11), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ladislaus Bakalowicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Polish a Flower Market At La Madeleine, Paris in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 422,500.00 (€ 324,102.49).

Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Greek Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leaving For The Ball; The Feathered Fan von Ladislaus Bakalowicz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.244,11) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ladislaus Bakalowicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Polish a Flower Market At La Madeleine, Paris im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 422.500,00 (€ 324.102,49).
