This artwork by L. C. Armstrong achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in October 2020. In the SOR Rusche Collection - PART VII auction, the work "Gerbera over Hummingbird" sold for EUR 1,636.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 600.00. Admittedly, works by L. C. Armstrong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Green vase with oranges and skull" in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 6,694.00.
Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von L. C. Armstrong erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion SOR Rusche Collection - PART VII wurde die Arbeit "Gerbera over Hummingbird" für EUR 1.636,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von L. C. Armstrong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Green vase with oranges and skull" im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.694,00.
