Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The price achieved of AUD 3,525.00 (€ 2,046.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Parlini Jilamara, 1998 in November 2019 with an auction result of AUD 14,640.00 (€ 13,286.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu kam im August 2001 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.525,00 (€ 2.046,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Parlini Jilamara, 1998 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.640,00 (€ 13.286,14).
