Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Parlini Jilamara by Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in July 2009. The price achieved of AUD 8,400.00 (€ 4,755.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parlini Jilamara, 1998, which sold at auction in November 2019 for AUD 14,640.00 (€ 13,286.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Parlini Jilamara von Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu kam im Juli 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 8.400,00 (€ 4.755,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parlini Jilamara, 1998 beobachtet, die im November 2019 für AUD 14.640,00 (€ 13.286,14) versteigert wurde.
